Use of epidermal growth factor receptor (EGFR) tyrosine kinease enzyme to treat invasive breast cancer

An epidermal growth factor receptor (EGFR) tyrosine kinase inhibitor is used in the manufacture of a medicament for use in (a) reducing the transformation of epithelial cells from a normal to a malignant state in an invasive breast cancer free human; and/or (b) reducing the transformation of epithelial cells from an intermediate state, between normal epithelium and malignant invasive epithelium, to a malignant state in an invasive breast cancer free human; and/or (c) causing substantial reversion of epithelial tissue back to a normal state from an intermediate state between normal epithelium and malignant invasive epithelium.
