PURPOSE:To enhance initial electric discharging performance while maintaining lifetime performance by forming a paste layer mixed with a porous body on an electrode plate while a paste layer including no porous body inside the electrode plate. CONSTITUTION:A grid 1 is filled with a paste layer 2 including no porous body, which is covered with a paste layer 3 mixed with a porous body. Accordingly, it is possible to facilitate diffusion of a sulfate ion into an electrode plate and enhance electric discharging performance. The thickness of the paste layer mixed with the porous body is suitably 5-10% of the whole thickness. Materials having acid resistance and oxidation resistance can be used for the porous body. Formation of the paste layer mixed with the porous body on the electrode plate can improve electric charging performance after releasing and/or electric discharging. |
