PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a wheelchair locked with the rotation of rear wheels braked. SOLUTION: This wheelchair is provided with front wheels 7 provided in front ends of a car body frame 1 having a seat part and a back part and capable of changing the traveling direction; pairs of support parts 14 and 15 provided in the upper parts and the lower parts in the width-directional both ends of the back part, respectively; a pair of attachment shafts 16 having their respective axial both ends rotatably supported to the pairs of upper/lower support parts, the rear wheels 18 rotatably provided in the lower ends of the respective attachment shafts with their rotating axes approximately orthogonally to the axes of the attachment shafts, steering handles 28 provided in the upper ends of the respective attachment shafts and rotating the attachment shafts between a state where a pair of rear wheels are approximately in parallel to each other along the front/rear direction of the car body frame and a state where the rear wheels are opened at a predetermined angle outward in the width direction toward the front of the car body frame, and brake mechanisms 41 integrally provided with the attachment shafts and locked with the rotation of the rear wheels braked.
