PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a holder for housing a rolled paper towel formed by winding paper towel around a core. SOLUTION: The holder (10) includes a side wall (12) of a polygonal cylinder shape or cylindrical shape, an end wall (14) for closing one end of the side wall, and a cover (16) fitted to the other end of the side wall. The end wall and the cover are provided with projections (14a, 16a) inserted into the core of the paper towel at substantially the center parts, respectively. A surface or a ridge of the side wall is provided with an outlet port (12a) extending in the longitudinal direction and delivering the paper towel, and a surface adjacent to the surface or the ridge provided with the outlet port is provided with a pressing hole (12b) for pressing the paper towel when unrolled.
