<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a power transmission device capable of suppressing the drive load from varying at the time of intercepting the power transmission into a compressor, and smoothly transmitting the power when the load torque is not greater than a predetermined value. <P>SOLUTION: The power transmission device is provided with a location plate 9 connected to a pulley 4 and having a pin 6, a pin 11 installed in a hub 7, and a leaf spring shaped connecting member 12 to connect the pins 6, 11. Resin made ribs 15 to rotate the connecting member 12 in the axial direction are installed in the location plate 9 along the circumference of the location plate 9 by the number of connecting members 12. The connecting member 12 is a biforked shape formed by openably and closably connecting each one end of a pair of side pieces 25 with each other.
