PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a retransmission control method, a wireless communication system, a base station, and a mobile station capable of attaining furthermore efficient communication.

SOLUTION: In the communication system comprising base stations 100 and mobile stations 200, the retransmission control method is characterized in acquiring a time required until retransmission of a transmission packet is finished and carrying out retransmission control for revising an execution sequence of retransmission of the transmission packet and handover on the basis of the required time.
