<p>A buzzer sound generating apparatus of an air conditioner and the operating method thereof are provided to satisfy the diverse desires by playing different sounds according to the different driving modes and to improve the user-convenience by selecting a mute-mode using a remote controller. A buzzer sound generating apparatus of an air conditioner is composed of an air conditioner, an external device(300), and a communication port(200). The air conditioner controls to operate according to the driving mode selected by a user, and generates different buzzer sounds for the related driving modes. The air conditioner includes a key input unit(101), a control unit, and a speaker(104). The external device offers diverse midi sounds. The communication port is provided to supply the midi sounds for the user through the external device to the air conditioner. The operating method of the buzzer sound generating apparatus comprises a step of setting the buzzer sound for each driving mode based on the user preference; a step of controlling to play the predetermined buzzer sound according to the selected driving mode; and a step of playing the buzzer sound and displaying the driving status.</p> |
