A porous filter and a manufacturing method thereof are provided to manufacture a filter suitable for the use with user's desired shape and gap by low cost. An urethane group of porous sponge with a predetermined shape is prepared(S10). The sponge is impregnated into the ceramic sludge(S20). In the impregnation process, the impregnated sponge is compressed by a roller so that the sludge within the porous materials is removed(S30). Thereafter, the sponge is dried at the temperature below 100 degrees centigrade(S40). The dried sponge is burnt at the temperature of 200 to 300 degrees centigrade(S50). At the state that the sponge is burnt, the ceramic is sintered at the temperature of 1,000 to 1,500 degrees centigrade(S60). The sintered ceramic is coated by constant materials(S70).
