PURPOSE:To overlap a pattern which is inconspicuous by visual observation and can be read by using a specified reader with an output image. CONSTITUTION:A recording paper detection sensor 2010 detects the type of a recording member recording the output image. A modulation amount control circuit 2016 changes a machine number pattern signal generated by a machine number pattern generation circuit 2015 in accordance with the detected type, and a comparator circuit 2017 outputs the machine number pattern signal and the image signal which is read from CCD 2105 by overlapping them to a printer. |
