PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a case for fishing having light weight and excellent durability and self-supporting property. SOLUTION: The case for fishing has a top-opened rectangular parallelepiped main body 1 composed of an encircling side wall A and a bottom part 2. The side wall A contains reinforcing plates 9 made of a synthetic resin sheet and inserted between an inner layer 6 made of a synthetic resin sheet and an outer layer 7 made of a synthetic resin sheet and between intermediate layers 8 made of a foamed synthetic resin material. The material of the inner layer 6 and the outer layer 7 made of a synthetic resin sheet is a sheet of EVA (ethylene-vinyl acetate), the foamed synthetic resin material of the intermediate layer 8 is PU (polyurethane), and the synthetic resin sheet material of the reinforcing plate 9 is a PE (polyethylene) plate, a PC (polycarbonate) plate or a PU (polyurethane) plate. The material of the reinforcing plate 9 has high flexural rigidity compared with that of the inner layer 6 and the outer layer 7, and the intermediate layer 8 is integrally fixed to the reinforcing plate 9 by bonding or welding.
