PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To operate a pressure limiter 6 at the original set injection valve opening pressure. SOLUTION: In a common rail type fuel injector, an orifice 56 with a passage cross sectional area smaller than an inlet side fuel hole 31, a fuel hole 34, an outlet side fuel hole 35 and a communication hole 54 inside a housing 12 is provided on a hollow screw 16 between a valve part 11 of the pressure limiter 6 for reducing a common rail pressure below an excessive pressure when the common rail pressure rises to the set injection valve opening pressure or more and a fuel tank side of low pressure piping 5 which is a pulsation generating source. By this, since pressure pulsation of fuel propagating from the pulsation generating source to the valve part 11 of the pressure limiter 6 and a spring guide 14 can be cut off by the orifice 56, a ball valve 23 does not bound in a valve body 21 and the ball valve 23 of the pressure limiter 6 can be operated by the original set injection valve opening pressure. |
