PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To suppress the variation of beam pitches in a subscanning direction. SOLUTION: An anamorphic lens 107 which focuses a plurality of luminous fluxes passing through a coupling lens in the vicinity of a polygon mirror in a subscanning direction is adjusted via an intermediate member 111 for positions parallel to the subscanning direction and bonded to a projected part 120a of a housing 120. Thus, the beam pitch of the plurality of luminous fluxes in the subscanning direction on the surface of a photoreceptor drum is optimized. As a result, variation in the beam pitch in the subscanning direction on the surface of the photoreceptor drum is suppressed. COPYRIGHT: (C)2008,JPO&INPIT
