PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an optical information recording medium that can make the distance between a head and a recording medium short and high-density recording and reproducing possible by improving the abrasion resistance and the impact resistance of the recording medium. SOLUTION: The constitution of this optical information recording medium is given by removing a usual metallic layer from a conventional optical information recording medium or making the usual metallic layer thin to at most 30 nm in thickness. By this, the recording medium having high strength is realized. In examples, the optical information recording medium which does not form a metallic heat-radiating layer is prepared. That is, an Al-Mg alloy substrate is used as the substrate 1, a ZnS-SiO2 layer of 20 nm in thickness is formed on the upper surface of the substrate as a lower part-protective layer 2, a GeSbTe layer of 15 nm in thickness is formed as a recording layer 3 and a ZnS-SiO2 layer of 20 nm in thickness is formed as an upper part-protective layer 4. |
