PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a folding hollow polyhedron capable of having a small housing or storing space and forming a symmetrical three-dimensional hollow polyhedron with a simple opening and closing operation. SOLUTION: The hollow polyhedron 1 with even-numbered facets is organized with an equilateral triangular supporting element members 2a and 2b adjoined with each other, and a right triangular opening and closing element members 3a, 3b, 3c, and 3d in which a long side (oblique side) is adjacent to the sides of respective element members, and has a plane shape symmetrical on the basis of the center line, and forms a three-dimensional shape by the opening and closing operation. A pair of opening and closing element members 3a to 3d is opposed with each other and an opening 4 capable of opening and closing is formed. Adjacent element members 2a, 2b, and 3a to 3d are respectively connected with thin-walled sections except an opening edge of the opening and closing element members 3a to 3d, and the element members can be folded at a hinge type.
