PURPOSE:To realize a system which saves power when a user does not use a device and can immediately be used by permitting an operation medium or the user him-herself, such as a pen or a finger, etc., to approach or touch the device. CONSTITUTION:The housing part 104 of the device is provided with a sensor 102 detecting the approach or the touch of the medium 100 operated by the user or the user him-herself 101 and a state display part 103 for informing the user of whether the device is usable or stand-by. A power economization control part 105 controls a controlled object 106 concerning power consumption in accordance with the approach, the touch or the separation situation of the operation medium 100 or the user 101. A timer 109 included in the power economization control part 105 discriminates the separation. Thus, drastic power economizing effect can be expected and the device of extremely good operability, by which the user can quickly continue the operation or thought interrupted by leaving a seat, etc., only by making the medium or the user him-herself such as the pen or the finger to approach or touch the device and can take a note in an instant, is realized. |
