PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To suppress the deterioration of optical coupling efficiency at the time of optical coupling. SOLUTION: An optical output array 1 is, e.g., an SOA array having a plurality of SOAs and outputs a plurality of light beams. A lens array 2 has a plurality of lenses and the plurality of light beams output from the optical output array 1 are input in the lens array 2. Since the pitch of the lenses of the lens array 2 is different form the pitch of the plurality of light beams which the optical output array 1 outputs, a plurality of light beams output from the lens array 2 are output at mutually different emission angles. A wedge prism 3 outputs the plurality of light beams having different emission angles output from the lens array 2 in such a way as to provide the same emission angle. COPYRIGHT: (C)2009,JPO&INPIT
