PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a location registering device capable of reliably registering a location with a simple operation. SOLUTION: The location registering device includes: a stop time calculation section 6 for calculating the stop time of one's own device, based on a change in the position of one's own device following time lapse; a registration determination section 7 for determining the propriety of registration processing related to a target location according to stop time; a location information storage section 3 for storing the position of a location and preliminary information related to the location as location information in association with the stop time; a user registration location storage section 10 for storing the location information of the registration location; a visit location search section 8 for reading the location information of a location existing within a prescribed range from a target location that has been determined to be registrable by a registration determination section 7 by searching the location information storage section 3 and extracting a location having preliminary information in association with the stop time of the target location as a registration candidate out of the read location information; and a registration execution section 9 for registering the location information of a location selected from the registration candidate to the user registration information storage section 10.
