<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an exhaust emission control device having a small constraint on layout and capable of achieving space saving. <P>SOLUTION: In the exhaust emission control device, a cylindrical first casing 10 storing an oxidation catalyst and a PM collection filter and a cylindrical second casing 20 storing a reduction catalyst and an ammonia oxidation catalyst are disposed closely to each other so that their axes 10a, 10b are substantially parallel with each other. A communication pipe 30 for connecting far ends of the both casings 10, 20 to each other is arranged so that the axis 30a of the communication pipe 30 is inclined to the axes 10a, 20a of the casings 10, 20. An exhaust gas flow passage leading from the first casing 10 through the communication pipe 30 to the second casing 20 is formed to have a substantially N-shape.
