Disclosed are a power supply control device for a vehicle battery system and an operating method thereof. According to an embodiment of the present invention, the power supply control device includes: a first main switch connecting a capacitor and the cathode of a battery in series; a second main switch connecting the capacitor and the anode of the battery in series; and a switch control part precharging the capacitor by turning on the first main switch, and turning on the second main switch depending on a charging voltage level of the capacitor. Therefore, the present invention is capable of easily handling an abnormal state. |
