PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for producing isocyanate capable of reducing equipment cost.SOLUTION: Primary amine, urea and/or Ni-unsubstituted carbamate and alcohol are reacted to by-produce ammonia, and further, to produce a reaction product containing a carbamate compound, and the carbamate compound is thermally decomposed to produce a decomposed product containing an isocyanate compound. Then, the ammonia by-produced in the production of the reaction product is burnt to recover energy, and the energy is utilized for the pre-stage and/or post-stage of the thermal decomposition stage.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1 |
