The present invention relates to a skin composition comprising isoflavone and (2S)-1-O-linolenoyl-3-O-β-D-galactopyranosyl-sn-glycerol for moisturizing or whitening skin and, more particularly, to a skin composition using a synergic effect of isoflavone and (2S)-1-O-linolenoyl-3-O-β-D-galactopyranosyl-sn-glycerol for external applications for enhancing skin barrier functions, and improving complexion and skin tone. According to the present invention, the skin composition for external uses enhances skin barrier functions, suppresses generation of melanin, and improves complexion and skin tone, thereby exhibiting a skin moisturizing effect, and a skin whitening effect.
