The present invention essentially relates to a method for managing a data center. Said data center comprises a plurality of racks arranged in a plurality of aisles. Said method is characterized in that it comprises the various steps of: guiding an operator, by means of a mobile terminal, to a desired device present in a rack from the plurality of racks. Said guiding step comprises the various operations consisting of: - indicating, on a screen of the mobile terminal, a route to follow in the data center in order to arrive near the device, said mobile terminal being provided with a geolocation system; once the operator is near the device, - reading, by means of a reading application of the mobile terminal, an electronic marker pattern placed on a first rack facing the operator to determine if the operator is facing the rack comprising the desired device; if not, - repeating the reading operation on the rack directly adjacent to the first rack; once the rack comprising the desired device is identified, - reading, by means of the reading application of the mobile terminal, an optical marker pattern placed on said rack comprising the desired device so as to obtain a height reference and thus locate the desired device; and - acting upon said desired device by means of the mobile terminal. |
