PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for producing hydrogen peroxide, in which a hydrogen permeable metal film is excellent in durability and which allows for direct production of high purity hydrogen peroxide from hydrogen and oxygen, and to provide equipment for producing hydrogen peroxide.SOLUTION: The method for producing hydrogen peroxide is provided that uses a reactor 6 in which a reaction chamber 20 is partitioned by a hydrogen permeable metal film. In the method for producing hydrogen peroxide: one surface of the hydrogen permeable metal film is a surface 7 containing gold, and the other surface thereof is a surface 9 containing a metal which dissociates hydrogen; an oxygen gas is introduced in a reaction chamber 8 which is on a gold-containing side of the reactor 6; a hydrogen gas is introduced in a reaction chamber 10 of the reactor, which is on a side of the metal which dissociates hydrogen; hydrogen dissociated on the surface 9 containing the metal which dissociates hydrogen is permeated to the surface 7 side containing gold of the hydrogen permeable metal film to react the dissociated hydrogen and oxygen on the surface containing gold to produce hydrogen peroxide.
