A high-efficiency touch screen text input system and method. The system comprises a contact-point detection module (1), a look-up module (4) and a result output module (3), wherein a thread management module (2) is also added, so that when a touch-press is detected (S11) by the contact-point detection module (1), in an auxiliary thread the system looks up a character inputted by a user and a candidate word (S21) by starting the auxiliary thread (S12); at the same time, a main thread continues to monitor whether there is touch-release (S13), thereby fully utilizing the time interval between the touch-press and the touch-release. In the main thread, after the contact-point detection module (1) detects a touch-release, the present look-up result is acquired from the auxiliary thread and is outputted. In the structured high-efficiency touch screen text input system and method, the system structure is simple, the input speed of a user is increased by 40% to 50%, hang-ups during user input are reduced, the human-computer interaction level is increased, the input experience of the user is optimized, and the application range is wide. |
