Disclosed are a communication method and apparatus for an optical module and a system board and an optical module. The method comprises: an optical module receives a control signal from a system board; and the optical module selects, according to the control signal, a bus, adopted for the communication with the system board, from a first-type bus and a second-type bus, wherein a communication rate when the second-type bus is adopted for the communication is greater than that when the first-type bus is adopted for the communication. By means of the present invention, the problem in the related art that the rate is relatively low during the communication process between the optical module and the system board is solved, thereby further increasing the rate of data transmission between the optical module and the system board. |
