A carrier for table ware in a dishwashing machine comprises a tubular support member 61 rotatable about a vertical pivot 53, arms 71 extending radially from the member 61 and upstanding members 77a, 77b, 77c, and 77d on the arms 71 for holding plates and like dishes therebetween and having sloping lower end portions 76, 79a, 79b, and 79d. The separator members have wire loops 78a to 78d at their upper ends, and the plates are supported in the slots between the separator members of two adjacent arms 71, the larger plates being placed in the outside slots. Between the pairs of arms 71 are disposed wire members 81 extending between an inner ring 87 and an outer ring 75 and having shaped formations 85c, 85d, 85e for supporting inverted glass tumblers. A supporting cylinder 91 having a mesh base 93 is provided for silver ware, and at the upper end of the member 61 is provided a wire formation comprising radial arms 109a, 109d arranged alternately with arms 107a, 107c, 107d, 107b for supporting inverted cups. The carrier is adapted to be rotated by impingement on the load of jets of washing liquid from a spray tube 121. Specification 974,631 is referred to. |
