<p>A process for the injection or compression moulding of a resilient plastic (preferably polyamide) one-piece cage for the reception of roller- or ball-bearings, consisting of outer rings connected by transverse strips of equal thickness, the distance between the strips being slightly less than the roller or ball bearing diameter and the internal surfaces of these apertures being of appropriate cylindrical or spherical profile, in which a core piece supported on a sleeve fabricated in an elastomeric or easily destroyed resin is first placed in the mould. After moulding the core can be withdrawn either by elastic deformation particularly while still hote, in which case it can be re-used or by destruction.</p> |
