Apparatus for controlling the administration on an aerosol to the respiratory system of a patient comprises an aerosol generator upstream of a mouthpiece from which the patient can inhale at his respiratory rhythm, means for controlling the concentration in the aerosol of the active constituent thereof, optionally a bypass for excess aerosol, and a spirometric recording system downstream of the mouthpiece to measure the quantity of aerosol inhaled by the patient. The apparatus is illustrated with reference to Figs. 1 and 2, wherein the apparatus comprises an aerosol generator 1 comprising a pump 1 2 and a column containing aerosol solution 1 3 , a by-pass 3, a mouthpiece 4 and a spirometric counter 2 3 . Figs. 4 and 6 (not shown) illustrate apparatus with graphic recording and electromechanical control respectively. |
