<p>PURPOSE:To prevent a sheet from being electrically charged due to the sliding of a pressure roller in a curl correcting device for pressing the pressure roller to a belt member and curving the sheet suddenly to correct the curl of the sheet. CONSTITUTION:A curl correcting device 1 presses a pressure roller 5 to a belt member 2 to curve a sheet, inserted into the nip part of both members, suddenly to correct the curl of the sheet. The curl correcting device 1 is provided with mechanism for driving the pressure roller 5 through a timing belt 25 in relation to a driver 20 for driving the belt member 2, and the conveyance of the sheet and curl correcting action are performed by the belt member 2 and pressure roller 5 while driving the pressure roller 5 at the same speed as the belt member 2. The sheet is prevented from being friction-charged by not sliding the pressure roller 5 against the sheet.</p> |
