<p>PURPOSE:To improve the operability of picture display by moving and switching a picture corresponding to the manipulated variable of a manipulating means. CONSTITUTION:As the manipulating means, a knob is used. This knob is composed of a disk 6 provided with a lot of holes 7 to transmit light in the peripheral direction. A light emitting diode 8 continuously emit light by a driving circuit 10 for receiving a fixed voltage from a power source 9. This light is passed through the holes 7 of the disk 6 and received by a light receiving part 11, and the output is amplified by an amplifier circuit 12 and counted by a counter circuit 14. The output of a timer circuit 15 is applied to the counter circuit 14, and the manipulated variable of the knob per unit time is calculated. Based on this manipulated variable of the knob per unit time, a data retrieval part retrieves data in a storage means, transfers the retrieved data to a display means and moves the picture corresponding to the manipulated variable. As a result, the picture can be displayed with a sense just as a user manipulates the picture.</p> |
