A self-aligning double-row radial rolling bearing assembly comprises an external ring 1 having a concave raceway and provided with a ring 2 on the raceway disposed between the rows of rolling elements 8 in order to limit the degree of displacement of the outer ring to a predetermined range. The ring is a snap-fit in a groove 3, and is provided with cut-outs to facilitate removal (Figs. 6, 7, not shown). The rolling elements may be barrel rollers or balls. A cage, partially supported by a removable collar (Fig. 2, not shown), may be provided. The bearing may be sealed.</p> |
