[Also in Divisions B1 and C5] A hydrocracking catalyst composition comprises a cadmium - containing crystalline alumino-silicate zeolite containing less than 10 wt. per cent of sodium and 0À5 to 15 wt. per cent sulphur and having pore openings less than 6A. The zeolite may be zeolite A or erionite, chabazite, analcite, lebrynite or natrolite, and preferably has more than 50% of its cation content as cadmium. The catalyst may also contain from 0À1 to 25% of a hydrogenation component which is a metal, oxide or sulphide thereof of Group V B , VIB, VII B or VIII, for example Co, Ni, Pt, Pd. The catalyst is sulphided using a sulphur-containing feed, H 2 S or CS 2 . |
