Appts. supplies ingots which have been preheated in a pusher furnace regularly and in a controllable manner to an automatic press. The appts. consists of a reserve chamber which is connected on one side to a charging appts. which cah be controlled as a function of the degree to which the reserve chamber is filled. On the other side it is connected to an appts. for removing ingots from the chamber which is controlled as a function of the absorptive power of the press.
