PURPOSE:To stop recording action, remove toner attached to a transfer roller and reset into an automatic recording restart stand-by state when an image size and a recording paper size do not coincide with each other in a laser print er or the like. CONSTITUTION:The conveyed direction length of fed recording paper is detected by a paper feed sensor and compared with the size of an image formed on a photosensitive body drum (step P7). In the case of both sizes coinciding with each other, image formation is performed as it is (step P8). In the case of both sizes not coinciding with each other, image formation is stopped (step P11), and a transfer roller is cleaned (step P12). The change of recorded image size, the change of recording paper or the lapse of the specified time is further judged (steps P15, P16, P17), and resetting into an automatic recording restart stand-by state is performed (step P18). |
