PURPOSE:To narrow an installation area and to facilitate the removal of jammed paper, in the apparatus such as a copier, by providing a recording head in connection with the cover member attached to a housing in a freely openable and closable manner. CONSTITUTION:A cover member 16f is provided to the opening 16e of an upper housing part 16 at the rear end thereof in a freely openable, closable and shakable manner through a support shaft 20. A discharged paper receiving recessed part 16g inclined so as to gradually become deep from the upper surface of the cover member 16f toward the front thereof is formed to the cover 16f to prescribe a paper discharge tray part. The attaching stay 24 of a thermal transfer head 22 is formed on the rear surface of the rear end part of the cover member 16f in a suspended state to mount the thermal transfer head 22. By this constitution, when the cover member 16f is upwardly revolved to open the opening 16e of the upper housing part 16, the thermal transfer head 22 is upwardly lifted to be separated from other printer mechanism parts. |
