1297800 Joints EDUARD GORLACH & SÍHNE oHG 30 Dec 1969 [15 July 1969] 63166/69 Heading A4H [Also in Division E1] An article of furniture, e.g. a table or a stand, is assembled from a plurality of primary elements 1, 11 of synthetic material each formed with undercut grooves extending across the complete depth of the element at right angles to its faces which form parts of the main faces of the structure, and connecting elements, as at 5, 12, each having at least two tongue portions 6 projecting therefrom and engaging in grooves in adjacent primary elements to hold them together; the primary elements shown are of annular form so that an open, grille-like structure is formed. The connecting elements may have two or more tongues projecting at an angle to one another, e.g. at 90‹, for corner connections between primary elements in different planes, or two parallel tongues for connections between coplanar elements. Primary elements of plate-like form are also described, and central apertures of annular elements may be filled with transparent elements. |
