[Also in Division C3] Films may be prepared from random copolymers of butene-1 with 10 to 15 weight per cent of randomly copolymerized propylene and optionally up to 5 weight per cent of initially block polymerized propylene by melt extrusion or chilled-roll casting. The films are preferably quenched or air cooled after melt shaping, and tubular films may be air blown. The films may alternatively be stretched uniaxially, or biaxially simultaneously or in sequence with the same or different draw ratios. |
