Current surge protection device for electrical motor - has brushes connected to electrical contacts and loaded by springs pushing them towards trapezoidal slab covered by nickel foil

The device includes a body (10) with a disc shape provided with two radial conduits (12) placed on opposite sides of the disc axis. Two brushes (14,16) are pushed towards the disc axis by springs (18) mounted on pins (20) and resting on two shoulders (22). One of the brushes is connected via a flexible conductor (24) to electrical contacts (26). The second brush is connected via another conductor (28) to a spring (32) applied against a protection slab (34). The slab has a trapezoidal shape and its surface is covered with a nickel foil. USE/ADVANTAGE - For protecting motor of car electric windows against temperature and/or current surges. Prevents damaging of motor and its overheating without using additional components.
