<p>Compound for the alkali bath pre-treatment of natural cellulose-based fibres, consists of an aminoalkylenephosphonic acid and/or a 1-hydroxy-alkyl-1,1-diphosphonic acid, (or their salts), and additionally contains (in)organic complexing agents such as alkali metal polyphosphates, aminopolycarboxylic acids, nitric acid and gluconic acid (or salts). The compsn. gives a very gentle treatment of the fibres and does not reduce the degree of polymn. The degree of whiteness is considerably improved, and the ash content reduced.</p> |
