PURPOSE:To obtain the KANJI(Chinese character) conversion system which requires retrieval using one dictionary, improves the retrieval efficiency, and performs a command recognizing process in a short time. CONSTITUTION:A KANJI conversion pattern recognition and display part recognizes an inputted pattern (14) and judges what pattern it is (15). When the pattern is a KANJI conversion pattern, an idiom dictionary is retrieved (16) and KANJI conversion is performed according to retrieved data (17). When it is judged that the pattern is an other-candidate selection pattern, the idiom dictionary is retrieved (18) and another candidate is selected according to retrieved data (19). When it is judged that the pattern is a candidate list display pattern, the idiom dictionary is retrieved (20) and a candidate list displayed according to retrieved data (21). When it is judged that the pattern is a candidate list selection pattern, it is judged whether or not the candidate list is displayed (22); when the candidate list is displayed, a corresponding candidate in the displayed candidate list is selected (23). The display of the candidate list is erased (14). |
