PURPOSE:To shorten switching time and to prevent malfunction by performing a desired switching driving for each optical switch by the operation of an electric switch. CONSTITUTION:Optical transmission lines X1 to Xn which are parallel each other and are connected with corresponded optical devices A1 to An via an optical cable at each start end, respectively, and optical transmission lines Y1 to Yn which are parallel each other and are connected with corresponded optical devices B1 to Bn via the optical cable at each start end, respectively are arranged in a matrix state. This device is provided with optical/branching devices a1b1, a1b2,..., anbn which branch a main line being extended in a terminal direction and a Y sub-transmission line 25, on the Y side of the other side optical transmission line of the crossing part of each optical transmission line. The device is serially provided with optical switches x1y1, x1y2,... xnyn which switch and connect with the main line extending in the terminal direction and the Y-sub transmission line 25 on each of the X side of the other side optical transmission line of the crossing part of each optical transmission line. For each optical switch, a desired switching operation is performed by the operation of an electric switch. |
