PURPOSE:To provide the effect adding device which fetches an external sound signal and generates a musical tone obtained by chopper base playing on a stringed instrument. CONSTITUTION:A human voice is digitized and inputted as a digital voice signal X(n), and an envelope extracting processing part 32 extracts an envelope from the digital signal X(n) and outputs an envelope signal E(n) to a filter coefficient selection part 31. The filter coefficient selection part 31 selects a proper filter coefficient among filter coefficients stored in a filter coefficient part 33 according to the envelope signal E(n) and outputs it to a band-pass filter 30. The band-pass filter 30 filtrates the digital voice signal X(n) with the filter coefficient and outputs a signal Y(n) to a pitch converting processing part 34. The pitch converting processing part 34 converts the pitch of the signal Y(n) to lower the pitch by one octave and outputs an output digital signal Z(n). |
