<p>The transmitter comprises a plastic or metal coated bundle of high refractive index light transmitting glass fibres each of which is covered with a low refractive index glass sheath. The bundle may, if required be subdivided into several brnaches. The method provides a non electric detonating method and may be used where sensor and ignition location are far apart.</p> |
