The use of solns. of Mn(II)-nitrate in dimethylacetamide, dimethylformamide, N-methyl-pyrrolidone, DMSO or mixts. thereof, as solvents for polyterephthaloyloxalamidrazone (I) and copolyacyloxalamidrazones contg. up to 90 mol.% (I)-units, is claimed. Use of the claimed solvents enables the above polymers to be shaped by "dry method" e.g. for coatings.
