<p>A method of mounting the extruder head plate (9) and filter (8) in an extrusion head (7) for the spinning of synthetic fibres uses a plunger (21) held in place by a coil spring (14) and locking linkage (16)(17)(18)(19). A pneumatic piston (22) is provided to overcome the spring when the plunger (21) is to be withdrawn. The system allows easy withdrawal of the extrusion plate and filter for cleaning, reducing any spinning time lost for maintenance.</p> |
