<p>Title polymer is prepd. by heating 1,12-bismaleinimidododecane at temp. above its m.pt. esp. 220 - 250 degrees C for several hours. The polymer is dense, pore - free, insol. in org. solvents (density 1.27 g/cm3) and is of 3d, cross-linked amorphous structure. It is unchanged up to 370 degrees C and has good mechanical props. It is used in fibre reinforced windings as described in P2,124,740.</p> |
