Knitting control - using parallel stores of binary pattern data

While the binary pattern data is extracted from one store, step by step, and repeated as often as necessary, binary data for the next pattern stage is passed to the parallel pattern store for immediate access under program control. This provides pattern data for a circular knitter, where the knitting action time can be of the order of 1.4 milliseconds, without requiring a major computer installation.
