A crosstable for positioning articles, comprising a frame and a table which is movable relative thereto. An adjusting lever is connected by a diaphragm to the frame and to the table. The table is connected by a first pair of leaf springs, to an intermediate member which in turn is connected, by a second pair of leaf springs to the frame. The direction of support of the first pair of leaf springs being transverse to that of the second pair.
