This insertion is achieved via a press fit, use of adhesives or by ultrasonic welding or injection. The melting point of the fixture element plastics is similar to that of the plastics component into which it is inserted. The plastics for the fixture element is harder and/or more ductile than the plastics of the component. USE/ADVANTAGE - The threaded sleeve or dowel is for use as a fixture element. Allows reuse of plastics components.
