COOLING PIPE FOR USE IN SATELLITE COOLERS OF ROTARY KILNS

The lifting blades or vanes on the interior of a cooling pipe of a satellite cooler are connected to the outer wall of the cooling pipe through the provision of blade feet which extend through metal lined recesses in the fireproof inner wall of the cooler, each foot having a pair of hollow portions with a common wall which includes an aperture aligned with an aperture in the outer pipe wall to receive a fastening bolt. The blade foot includes a flange for covering the recess and the connection of the blade foot with the outer wall of the cooling pipe prevents damage to the inner lining during cooler operation and during blade changing operations and provides for an easier disassembly and reassembly during blade changing operations.
